Getting started
Getting started
You need to start with a meeting of those helping. At this, you can decide:
- who the club members will be (one year group, open access etc),
- when and where your club will run
- the programme for the first term or half-term
- who will lead and prepare for each session
- what letters and documents you need to produce.
Note - there are advantages and disadvantages with sharing the club programme with the children and their parents.
| Advantages | Disadvantages |

We’ve collected together some sample documents, based on those used by schools and other organisations running science clubs.
Sample documents for you to use
- Sample invitation letter
- Sample session plan
- Sample poster advertising club
- Sample RA document
- Sample programme
Did you choose to skip past "A typical club session"? If so, you can go back there now.
