A typical club session
There is probably no such thing as a typical science club, or indeed a typical club session. As you'll be well aware, how the session works on the day will depend on many factors, including:
- who turns up
- what time of day it is
- what day of the week
- what they did just before the club
- the weather!
However, most clubs probably have a structure based on:
- Collecting (and possibly setting out) the materials
- Introduction to the investigation or topic
- A short starter activity
- Child-led investigation
- Tidy up
- Time for groups to collate and summarise their thoughts
- Feedback, compare and consolidation time
- Recording
