Having been posed a suitable HOW or WHY question, Brainwaving involves employing speaking and listening skills to gather and collate key words and phrases that the pupils believe will be useful to form a scientific explanation.
Children should be given the opportunity to discuss and justify their ideas and to prioritise the words and phrases that they think will be most useful and suitable for their explanation.
