The Dramatic Science approach provides a first hand opportunity for KS 1 & 2 children to engage directly with scientific processes and concepts. They have the opportunity to enact, explore, examine and question. The activities are designed to encourage the development of curiosity and confidence in acting, talking and thinking about science and How Science Works.

Project Summary
The key aims of the project were to evaluate and review the Dramatic Science teaching approach and materials produced in the KS 1 & 2 pilot projects. The eight drama strategies devised in the earlier projects were consolidated across Y1 – 6. The evaluation of the impact of drama was also designed to check for robustness and inclusivity of all children including SEN. The Professional Development approach was constructed to mix expert and novice teachers working together to support each other in developing their practice.
