This project supported Lisa Wood to disseminate activities during her visit to the Antarctic with a puppet called ‘Ricky’. The ‘Ricky goes to Antarctica’ Project provided the opportunity for children in schools to understand this extreme environment through the adventures of Ricky (with a bit of help from a teacher called Lisa Wood). Ricky (via Lisa) was in contact with schools, through his blog. Ricky carried out investigations and found answers to children’s questions about life in Antarctica and provided an exciting and novel way to learn. Resources and case study material were developed to support teachers in using this novel approach in Newham Schools.
You’ll never guess I’ve been experimenting and investigating science in Antarctica with the Fuchs Foundation and a teacher called Lisa! Wow! Jealous or what? There’s lots and lots of snow here.
I’m hoping
you will help me, so I’ve set up my own blog! If you think you can help to solve my problems
or have questions please leave a post in my blog:
