CPD Introduction
How you can make the most of the unique skills and expertise a scientist brings and the ways in which your pupils will benefit from the collaboration between yourself and your visiting scientist. The unit has been evolved from a small scale pilot carried out in the Greater Manchester area where a number of AstraZeneca scientists were prepared and placed very successfully in some very challenging secondary schools. Although this unit was originally used in secondary schools there are plenty of opportunities to work with upper primary pupils. The unit has been compiled by Marilyn Brodie from the Centre for Science Education at Sheffield Hallam University.
