Floorbooks

Introductions

Floorbooks are used as a strategy for developing and assessing children's understanding of science, mainly, but not exclusively, with younger children or others who have limited writing skills.

This Professional Development Unit has been created with help from the AstraZeneca Science Teaching Trust. It has been developed by Kendra McMahon (Senior lecturer in primary education at Bath Spa University College) and Rhianedd Baker (primary teacher).

Preparation

Subject Leaders: Having worked through the unit online, you can create your own subject workshop for this subject.

Evaluation
