Science Clubs

Introduction

This unit introduces science clubs and the benefits of running a science club. It aims
to give teachers ideas on how science clubs can be run successfully in a number of
different ways and how a typical science club session is run. This unit also provides
example activities and places that you can go for ideas and help.

All Continuing Professional Development Units are created and written by education
professionals who have given their time and expertise to the project.

The unit will allow you to:

• find out what a science club is and the benefits of running a science club.
• share the experiences of other science club leaders in their science clubs
• go through the process involved in a typical science club session
