The AstraZeneca Science Teaching Trust not only offers support for Primary Science by funding projects and disseminating resources, it also encourages excellence in primary school science education. By identifying and supporting fantastic Primary Science Teachers, the Trust has created a network of primary science teachers which now work together as part of the Primary Science Teacher College.
The Trust sponsors the Primary Science Teacher of the Year Awards, which identify outstanding primary science teachers. These teachers automatically become part of the Primary Science Teacher College, which puts these teachers at the forefront of science teaching.
The College facilitates the collaboration of these teachers and aims to ensure the work they do is recognised by others and used to support those who need it.
