To date the AstraZeneca Science Teaching Trust has funded 37 innovative projects focused on enhancing the teaching of science in primary schools. 12 new projects have just received funding - this includes new Key Stage 3 projects. This year's funding applications have now been completed. Any new information about future funding will be placed on this site when it is available.

Applications are invited for project funding for 2010/2011 academic year. The Trustees would be particulary interested in applications for projects with primary and/or lower secondary teachers in the areas of science and design technology, ICT and special needs/inclusion.

Scientists in Schools is a pilot project funded by the AstraZeneca Science Teaching Trust (AZSTT) in partnership with AstraZeneca (AZ), and The Brightside Trust. It trials a new approach to training and supporting scientists and engineers to work with schools.
